PATH OF THE STAR HUNTER

Chapter 277

Looking at the impolite way Xiauyue was behaving even Mei felt a bit uncomfortable having to approach her beloved to forcibly push her away from the fabrics made of undine silk; Of course, as a woman, Mei was also attracted to the beauty of these fabrics, but she had much more self-control and her interest in this type of thing was not that intense.

Of course, Kryzsha didn′t waste the opportunity to show off with her eyes full of pride: “Of course, I only cover myself with the best fabrics, it turns out that I know a small community of undine tarantulas and in exchange for some treasures that I didn′t need they agreed to give me a lot of their silk; of course, it was my always helpful maids who wove everything you see here for me. ”

This time it was Desmond’s turn to be genuinely surprised to learn that Kryzsha had traded undine silk with the creatures that created it, for this meant that the so-called undine tarantulas had some degree of intelligence; though it was more surprising that given Kryzsha’s ridiculous power she decided to trade rather than simply take what she desired.

Another detail that piqued Desmond’s interest was the mention of the tailoring done by these surprisingly helpful stone maidens, although upon a closer look Desmond realized that the hands of these creatures were graceful in appearance and extremely delicate with a finish more polished than the rest of its body.

It was a bit strange how these feminine-looking creatures made of various mineral materials seemed to be much better suited to carry out household chores but Desmond guessed it was a matter of adaptation or natural evolution; after all who knew how long these creatures had been in the service of Kryzsha.

Leaving those unnecessary thoughts in the back of his mind, Desmond continued to accompany the girls on their little tour around the cave as Kryzsha followed behind, waiting for any opportunity to jump in and show off.

It took almost two hours for the group to stop, although it wasn′t for the lack of things to continue seeing it was the rumbling of the stomachs of both Desmond and Mei that interrupted their little journey.

Kryzsha who also seemed hungry looked towards the cave entrance as if she was thinking about something for a moment before lazily commenting: “Don’t worry guys, the food shouldn’t take long; I believed that it will begin to arrive shortly. ”

.....

The trio looked confused at the gigantic Kryzsha thinking that such a creature would eat and how it is that its food simply came to her but they did not take long to get their answer.

Watching the gigantic deer with reddish fur and gigantic black antlers deposit what looked like at least a ton of assorted fruits at the entrance of the cave before bowing in the direction of Kryzsha before leaving; The trio began to wonder if their eyes were still functioning normally.

But it was once again Kryzhsa who brought them out of their thoughts by pointing to the mountain of fruits and saying aloud, “Aren’t you going to eat? If you prefer meat, you will have to wait a little longer; who brings it usually arrives later ”

Xiauyue at this point almost wanted to cry in despair seeing how this cursed white-winged lizard received half a ton or more of low-level magic fruits at her door without lifting a single finger as if this were just common cabbages on the market; one had to know that all this amount of magical fruits was enough to cover the consumption of the entire Miao family for a couple of days and for this creature it was only the free breakfast that she got for existing.

In the case of Desmond and Mei who wasn′t so aware of the ridiculous value of the foods placed in front of them, they could still judge only based on the aura transmitted by these foods and by the aroma that this was not common at all; but for the gluttonous pair, this mattered little when they began to put anything delicious-looking into their mouths.

Looking at the pair of idiots she had for companions, Xiauyue rolled her eyes and let out a helpless sigh before following suit while maintaining a more demure appearance than her companions.

Halfway through their meal, another creature appeared at the entrance of the cave although it didn′t come alone, a small herd of what looked like some kind of cream-colored kangaroo with several patches of fluffy wool came to the cave, these adorable large size creatures drew all kinds of precious herbs from the bags hidden in the wool of its plump little bellies before bellowing in unison in the direction of Kryzhsa and retreating from the cave.

At this point, neither, Desmond, Mei nor Xiauyue bothered to express their surprise to avoid satisfying the ego of Kryzsha who was unobtrusively observing them.

Seeing that none of her guests intended to comment on it, Kryzha gestured with one of her claws and a small group of stone maids came to collect the precious herbs along with some fruits from the place where the group was eating before taking them somewhere.

“You should try the salad that my little cuties prepare, it took me a while to make them learn but they proved to be quite capable cooks; You will see when the meat arrives and you can taste it along with the salad. “Seeing that Desmond’s group was no longer paying attention to her, Kryzsha felt a bit lonely so she did not hesitate to mention another interesting thing to capture the group’s attention.

How could they know that Kryzsha’s always vain demeanor was an attempt to attract attention so she stops feeling lonely after spending so long without seeing another being able to speak?

Still, Mei who was always the sharpest in a matter of instincts felt a small trace of lonely plea in Kryzsha’s general demeanor so she always tried to respond attentively to everything the gigantic creature did.

Because of this, Kryzsha separated her attention a bit from Desmond, on whom she had focused for certain reasons, and returned to looking at both girls more closely with her gaze now focusing on Mei from whom she felt a deeply hidden familiar vibe in her being.

But with a mouth full of fruits, Kryzsha saved what she wanted to say for later, she thought it would be nice if she had a good chat with this small group of interesting people who ran into her way and was glad she recognized the aura of nature on Desmond preventing her from reducing the group to ashes.

Not knowing how close they had come to die at the hands of Kryzsha, the trio continued to eat more calmly now as they waited for some other exotic creature to appear bringing tribute.

And they didn’t have to wait too long, as a massive rocky-looking black lion passed through the cave entrance, leaving the corpses of two tyrannical bees and bowing deeply toward Kryzsha before departing.

Once again a small group of stone maids emerged from an adjacent small cave before with surprising ease dragging the carcasses of the tyrannical bees somewhere probably to extract the honey.

The next to arrive was a group of dangerous-looking gorillas with horns and bony spines like swords in their arms, carrying some kind of gigantic trunk between them, they left the trunk on the ground and beat their breasts loudly before leaving.

On this occasion, Kryzsha seemed genuinely moved by the gift that was left on her door as she approached and directly took the massive log that now didn′t seem so large in her hands and said satisfyingly: “It is true, it is already that time of year; I can’t believe those guys will remember to bring me some liquor so soon. ”

It turned out that the gigantic trunk carried by those gorillas was hollow and contained several hundred liters of fruit liquor that they had made themselves and according to Kryzsha’s attitude; this was a very good liquor.

Of course, when seeing a group of one of those who are recognized as one of the most dangerous creatures in the forest one after another, simply bring tribute to Kryzsha in a respectful way; Xiauyue and Mei couldn’t bother using their common sense anymore and decided to turn it off for the remainder of the day.

Perhaps it was that new attitude that prevented the girls from being surprised when a group of birds of several dozen different breeds all came together to lay eggs of various sizes and colors at the entrance, albeit before Desmond’s inquisitive gaze; Kryzsha had to clarify that none of these eggs had life inside so it was okay to eat them.

In the end, the strange parade lasted almost an hour and a half, ending with the arrival of a sparrow of twenty meters of wingspan covered in lightning that brought in its claws some kind of beast similar to a dead lizard as a tribute.

The only funny thing is that, unlike the indifferent or appreciative attitude that Kryzsha used to have, she didn’t seem so happy with whatever the bird had said to her when it gave a little chant in her direction.

It wasn’t until they heard her murmur in a not at all low voice that they understood what happened although they were left speechless a bit; it turned out that this turquoise-plumed sparrow was trying to woo Kryzsha but she didn’t seem at all interested.
